Kerr was born in Bangor Northern Ireland. When he was 18 he got accepted into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and graduated in the year 2010. His first high profile role came in Game of Thrones where he plays Matthos Seaworth son of Davos. Best known for playing James McDermott in Sarah Polleys adaptation of Alias Grace for CBC/Netflicks.
