Biography

Kelsey Deanne has been in over 20 films, including the upcoming Mercury Pictures feature film Bombshells with Robert Picardo and Samantha Mumba, Shark Lake with Dolph Lundgren, and SYFY and Discovery ID shows. Kelsey Deanne Grubbs was born on April 21 in Fort Worth, Texas, to Mike Grubbs, a technology executive, and Rebecca Grubbs, an artist. She has one older brother, David, an entrepreneur. Kelsey is a classically trained concert pianist. Growing up she danced ballet, tap and modern, was in cheerleading, symphonic and marching band , scuba diving internationally, and collegiate cross-country and track. She graduated from Burlingame High School one year early to attend Lawrence University Conservatory of Music in Appleton, WI on a piano performance scholarship. She was on the Cross-Country and Track teams and earned a B.A. in three years. Kelsey continued her education to complete two M.A. degrees, from University of North Texas and The New School, New York, respectively. While studying in New York, she was a commercial print model for CESD, Abrams Artists Agency, and Rick Miller, appearing in ads for Make Up For Ever, Samsung, Toys 'R Us, and the front cover of a dozen fiction romance novels. She studied acting privately and in scene study classes with professors at Tisch-NYU and independent studios. Her mentor in NYC is Harry O'Reilly, a protege of Geraldine Page and Stella Adler. She studies in Los Angeles with Robert Colt, who studied with Warren Robertson and Harold Guskin in NYC. Kelsey is a full partner in Mercury Pictures, a full production film studios in Los Angeles, CA.
