Son of Ernest F. and Grace D. Smith, he was a cinemetographer whose work included features and series. He was the nephew of A.E. Smith one of the founders of Vidagraph Studios. Keith Smith began his career as a cameraman in the signal corps during the second world war. His credits include Wanted Dead or Alive as the D.P. He retired in 1983 when his wife Paulina died.
