German actress
Attractive blond leading lady of the 1930s and 40s, discovered for the screen by the director Erich Waschneck (who became her first husband). She was usually cast in naive and unglamorous ingnue roles. Though never a major star, her fortunes improved somewhat after the war when she reinvented herself as a solid character actress. She became much sought-after for television appearances. Karin also acted on stage and had a noteworthy success in "My Fair Lady" at the Berlin Theater des Westens (1961-64).
The actress Karin Hardt began her impressive career at the beginning of the 30s which was lasting for 60 years.
