He was born in India and grew up in Verona, New Jersey.
Went to Art school and studied animation. Kal was first introduced to acting from mandatory classes he had to take as part of his curriculum at SVA.
Is a graduate of Verona High and The School of Visual Arts in New York.
Learned Hindi for his first feature film "Khel Shuru" (the game is on).
Has made his own animated short film which was screened at several film festivals.
Picked up dancing by watching videos and ended up competing and eventually teaching at one of the leading Indian dance academies in the U.S.
Studied with Bill Esper at Esper Studios, T. Shrieber Studios and Stella Adler Studio of acting in New York.
Loves Shakespeare. Has performed in Hamlet, Macbeth and Henry VI.
