At age five she was spotted by a TV producer who then approached her parents. She did her first feature film at age six, and by age eight, Julianne already had a few movies and TV guest appearances under her belt.

On her first birthday, Julianne caught the eye of a CBS TV News reporter and her cameraman while playing with toys at FAO Schwartz Toy Store on Fifth Avenue in New York City.
