Biography

He studied at the music conservatory in Stockholm 1918-1920 and at the music conservatory in Weimar 1920-1922. From the mid 1920s he wrote the music for 'Ernst Rolf' . For the last 20 years of his life he lived abroad, including a few years on Fiji as a banana planter. One of Sweden's most hardworking composers, he wrote more than 500 melodies, including 'Säg det i toner', 'Nu ska vi vara snälla', 'Anna, du kan väl stanna' and 'Tangokavaljeren'.
