Daughter of the Los Jaivas s drummer Gabriel Parra and Mara Eugenia Correa.
She is an only child.
Niece of Eduardo Parra and Claudio Parra.
Has six half-siblings Jara-Correa.
Her family and Los Jaivas s members fled, to Argentine and then France, exiled for dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet.
Her father, Gabriel Parra , died when Juanita was 17 years old.
