Biography

Jonathan Silver Scott is an entrepreneur, entertainer and television personality. Jonathan and his identical twin brother, 'Drew Scott . A multi-talented performer, he eventually segued to both stage and screen, booking voice-overs, numerous acting roles and performing as an illusionist in Las Vegas. He continued to hone his skills over the next decade, winning many awards and accolades. Before Property Brothers, Jonathan and Drew cultivated another one of their passions: film production. Around 2004, they became heavily involved behind the scenes, producing and promoting independent film projects. Drew and Jonathan founded their own independent production company that would later be known as Scott Brothers Entertainment and began producing multi-genre content. To help fund their production projects, they created Scott Real Estate-which grew into a very successful company helping clients buy, sell & renovate real estate. The brothers were then approached to do what they do on TV in a new show concept called Property Brothers. Its resounding success quickly led to several spin-offs, three of which are produced by their own Scott Brothers Entertainment: Brother vs Brother, Property Brothers at Home and Property Brothers at Home on the Ranch. With award-winning and ratings record breaking series, the powerhouse producers continue to expand their reach behind the scenes as executive producers of many new series starring other talent. In 2011, Jonathan and Drew founded the Producers Ball, an annual gala held during the Toronto International Film Festival that honors producers behind film, television and digital production. In addition to both serving as Scott Brothers Entertainment's co-founder and executive producers, Jonathan and Drew showcased their longtime passion for music and released two country music songs on iTunes, "Hold On" and "Let The Night Shine In," in 2015. Their first book, Dream Home: The Property Brothers' Ultimate Guide To Finding And Fixing Your Perfect House, was released April 4, 2016. It debuted on both The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal best-seller lists. Jonathan and Drew are also committed to their philanthropic efforts, and work with organizations including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, World Vision and Artists For Peace & Justice.
