Biography

As the producer, lead designer, director and writer of Fear Effect, one of the most critically acclaimed games released by Eidos for the ps1, John brings his years of experience in the interactive industry and creative passion to all of his projects. John began his career working in television production at Universal Studios, where he was a production coordinator on a number of first-run syndicated series, including Lassie and Harry and the Hendersons. An experienced post-production and visual effects supervisor, John was the Visual Effects Producer on the Sega CDs Ground Zero Texas and Double Switch. As a result of his relationship with Sega, John designed, produced and wrote the highly successful Sega CD Tomcat Alley. This led him to refocus his career, and games became the driving creative force. John's work as designer, writer and producer on Johnny Mnemonic for Sony Imagesoft lead to an overall production agreement with Propaganda Code, during which he developed several titles for Philips Media. Current game projects include Scoody-Doo 2005, Constantine, Red Ninja and Taxi Driver. In addition to writing and designing for established properties, he is developing a number of original game titles for next generation platforms with major publishers under their joint label, Bureau of Film & Games. John and Flint currently have a film, Backwater, in production at Dimension which is based on their original game property. John lives in Burbank, California with his understanding wife, Gabriella, his videogame-addicted seven-year-old son, Jack, and his three-year-old daughter, Kate.
