Stage and screen character actor.

Began his career in Penn Yan, New York as boy soprano singing at theaters showing early motion pictures.

Had a leading role in "Wheat and Tares" the only major motion picture made by the Penn Yan Film Corp. before its founder and president, Ed Ramsey, was killed in an automobile accident.

Tall, suave, moustachioed silent screen actor, a former stage actor with touring stock companies. Played second leads (often as rival to the prevailing hero) at First National/Warner Brothers and Fox during the 1920s, but was largely consigned to bit parts after the arrival of sound.
