Biography

John McConnell has done lots of films and stuff. "Spud" was born in Gonzales, Louisiana. The typical middle child, he spent his youth trying to get somebody/anybody to notice him. When, after graduating high school, his dad wouldn't sign permission for his minor son to join the Air Force - instead insisting that he go to college - Spud chose Theatre as his major just to piss off the old man. He did a few plays, the girls noticed him, and the rest is history. Spud has worked on the East coast, the West Coast, but prefers living on the Gulf Coast. He lives in New Orleans where a bronze statue of his likeness stands on historic Canal Street.
