John Fortune (30 June 1939 – 31 December 2013) was a British satirist, comedian, writer and actor.
He studied at Cambridge University in England and, while there, was a member of the prestigious Cambridge University Footlights Club.
He was a great supporter of the British monarchy.
With Rory Bremner and John Bird , their show performed at the Albery Theatre in London was nominated for a 2003 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Entertainment of 2002.
Cambridge was a fairly public-school place and if you were a,working-class boy and had an outside lavatory, the girls at Newnham,thought that was very Lawrentian and sexy. .
