Biography

Jessica Drake has offered sound advice for over 20 years on stage and screen. She grew up in Hollywood and received her degree in acting from The Juilliard School of Drama under the expert tutelage of 'Edith Skinner' . She is a winner of the Edith Skinner Speech Award at Juilliard and also a former student of Jerry Blunt. In addition to her work as Dialect Coach, she has acted in the theater and on television and is a member of SAG, AFTRA, AEA and the International Phonetic Association. Ms. Drake also has a lot of teaching experience and has taught at UCLA, The American Academy of Dramatic Art, Cal Arts, LACC Theater Academy and The Los Angeles County High School for the Performing Arts, where she established the Voice and Speech Department. As well as her many screen coaching credits, she has also coached in the theater both on and off Broadway. Her father was the character actor Ken Drake, her mother is the former L.A. Times theater critic Sylvie Drake, and her brother, Robert Drake is the Producing Director of the Old Globe Theater in San Diego, California.
