Jesse Eden Metcalfe was born in Carmel Valley, California, to Nancy . Metcalfe is an avid art enthusiast and collector, plays both guitar and piano, enjoys basketball, boxing and weight training.

(March 2004) Decided not to renew his contract for "Passions" . The show has made no decision whether or not his part will be recast. He has been playing the role of "Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald" since "Passions" debuted in 1999.
