Jennifer Brola was born and raised in Rock Hill, South Carolina. At the end of a gravel road and beyond the city limits, she spent much of her time immersed in the arts and, eventually, the early consumer digital revolution. After graduating from Rock Hill High School with honors, Brola acquired a scholarship which took her to Philadelphia University, now the East Falls campus of Thomas Jefferson University. A first-generation college graduate, she earned a BS in Architecture with a minor in business before traveling back to her native state for graduate school. While working three jobs, she earned an MFA in Digital Production at Clemson University which would eventually lead her to Blue Sky Studios in New York. Over the course of a decade, Brola would hold various positions within Blue Sky Studios, supporting each film as it moved through the pipeline. Simultaneously, she would complete her doctorate with Pace University, adding another dimension of applied computing knowledge to her artistic credentials. Equally adept with wireframing and composition as with a charcoal vine, Dr. Brola continues to hone her professional skills at the intersection of art and technology.
