Jeanne Young

Jeanne Young is a talented San Francisco, CA based actress and filmmaker. In 2005 she set her sights on a career in the entertainment industry. Since then she has been recognized as a northern bay area talent and up-and-comer by a variety of media sources both within and outside the industry. She began her training as an actress with discipline, determination, and focus. She has worked both in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes as well on various films as actress, producer, writer, casting director, and production coordinator. She studied for years under several well known teachers, acting coaches, and casting directors at schools such as 'San Francisco School Of Digital Filmmaking' , amongst others, and continues to further educate herself in every aspect of filmmaking. Other than the short film, Lacuna, in which she not only performed the lead, but for which she also co-wrote, co-produced, and co-cast, she has successfully booked, collaborated and lead acted in a myriad of projects ranging from both short and feature length films, TV shows, commercials, industrials, and several web series. While shooting a film in India, the worst terror attacks in the history of Mumbai took place. They were sitting ducks right in the middle of it. As a result, Jeanne took a brief hiatus from the industry and came home until, both emotionally and physically, she could feel herself firmly planted on the ground once again. Since then, thanks in no small part from her family and animals with which she resides, she feels herself to be in her element, and has not looked back since. Recently, she has embarked on yet another journey as one of the authors for a book project titled "W.O.M. Women On A Mission: stories of trials, tribulation, and triumphs". The authors of this book are women who have "overcome adversity and triumphed, and are paving their way towards success, or have a testimonial of success!" The book is meant to inspire and empower other women out there who need to know they are not alone in whatever struggles they encounter on the road toward their own personal or public triumph! Jeanne feels that her life outside of, and before, the entertainment industry, has equally been a spectacular, wondrous, eye opening journey for which she is truly grateful.
