Jan van der Zanden is the managing director of film production company Waterland Film. He graduated in cultural psychology and worked as a psychologist at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. After the foundation of Waterland Film in 1994, he followed international film financing at the Media Business School. In 2003 he was selected 'Producer on the Move' at the Cannes Film Festival.
