Biography

New Zealand musician and arts curator. Pinker's first bands were The City Slits and The Superettes who came out of the Auckland punk scene of the late 1970s. The latter mutated into The Features and then Fetus Productions. An early member of both SPK and Dead Can Dance, he moved to London and worked extensively as a session musician before returning to New Zealand in the early 1990s, where he has included production, programming, live and film in his work. From 2012 Pinker was curator at Mangere Arts Centre in Auckland.
