Biography

Korean American James Boss was born in Los Angeles and attended The Art Institute of Los Angeles to study graphic design. He later began acting at the Howard Fine Studio, studied under Ivanna Chubbuck, and then relocated to South Korea's Seoul Institute of the Arts to further his study in theater. He co-directed his first play there, Liar Reversal to critical acclaim. In 2010 he landed the leading role in the worldwide release of the action post apocalyptic film White Wall. He went on to write, direct and act in two additional films and was nominated and/or won awards with all films. Working between the South Korean and Hollywood film industries, his career is focused on acting projects.

Had worked as a delivery boy, liquor store clerk, a salesman, operator at Kinkos copy and web designer before starting his career in the entertainment industry.

At age 16 he received a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Earned is name James "Boss" for his direct and very strong work ethic on film sets in South Korea.
