Biography

In 2013, Jacqueline's training in theatre and film led landed her a supporting actress role in the collaborative US/Honduran movie "The Zwickys". As "Dominga", she played a mature, nurturing woman who . As a result of her outstanding work, she was recognize with the prestigious "Award". Previously, Jacqueline played sports executive Monica Penalba in the Honduran film "Once Cipotes". Her supporting actress role in this film showcased a strong, determined woman with an antagonistic demeanor. Jacqueline has taken every opportunity available in Honduras to hone her acting skills in both theatre and film. Her experience includes years of formal training at the CC Artes School, on camera acting and voice training classes with Tea Tres Spain, and classes at The Acting Studio in Chicago, Illinois. She also holds an Associate of Theology degree from California Christian University. Jacqueline has a wide range of acting experience including theatre, commercials, promotional tours, and of course film projects. Her first movie roll was for a smash hit Honduran film called "Unos Pocos Con Valor". Her performance won her accolades from newspaper and television critics nationwide. Jacqueline's true passion is acting and though her talents in theatre have been repeatedly recognized through lead job offers, she instead chose to focus on her pursuit of film acting by continuing her studies at the CC Artes School of Acting. Despite living in a country, which has not reached its full potential in film production, Jacqueline Salgado has worked tremendously hard to hone her skills as a film, television and theatre actress. She has capitalized on every opportunity, most unpaid, to pursue her dream of becoming a feature film actress. Hailing from artistic roots from a Honduran father and Mexican mother, Jacqueline is a mother, office administrator, commentator and entrepreneur. Her "Dream Big" attitude has never wavered since dreaming of becoming an actress as a young girl. Her passion and perseverance despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles has been a source of inspiration to her children and her fans. As a bilingual, college educated and formally trained professional, Jacqueline Salgado looks forward to the day when she will walk the red carpet. Jacqueline is determined to be a voice for her country as an actress and be a beacon of hope who will open doors for others to accomplish their dreams.
