Jack Hulbert--the brother of actor 'Claude Hulbert' , a light-hearted tribute to the popular "Bulldog Drummond" detective series of the era. However, his film career began to fade somewhat in the late 1930s, and by the time World War II ended he and his wife had pretty much left films and returned to the stage.
