Biography

Ian started acting six years ago. He originally trained as a fine artist and worked in education for twenty years. He enjoys acting and believes that preparation and commitment are key attributes that actors can bring to all projects. Ian has experience of physical theatre, clowning and improvisation and role-play. He also devises and writes for performance. He continues to train and is always keen to practise his skills.

Initially pursued a career in medicine, but got a taste for movie making during World War II. While in the Royal Marines he become associated in the Globe Players (an amateur theater group with the Royal Marines); this prompted him to pursue a career as an actor instead of that of a physician.

Attended Strathallan school in Perth, Scotland, UK.

Worked tirelessly as the director of most of the "Monty Pythons Flying Circus" episodes to keep the show afloat, despite troubles with extreme skepticism on the part of BBC executives about the show chances for success.
