Retired as NBCs last staff announcer in March 2005, after working for NBC and its parent General Electric for nearly 62 years. The length of his career spanned the very life of television itself.
Was the nightly announcer who uttered the words "This is NBC Nightly News" every evening for over a half a century.
Officially left NBC and retired to Florida, but remained the announcer of "NBC Nightly News" until 14 December 2007.
