Hernando Casanova Escobar was born in Neiva, April 21, 1945. Son of a humble family, he was raised by his mother Blanca Casanova, since his father Guillermo Escobar, never wanted to recognize as a son. From an early age he showed fascination with entertainment, so that on several occasions he ran away from school to go to the circus or sing at RCN's "Ondas del Huila". . October 24, 2002, Hernando Casanova died in Cardio Infantil Hospital due to heart complications. In 2015 his sons and daughters Adriana, Rocio, Margarita, Juan Sebastian and Nicolás threw he's ashes to Magdalena River fulfilling Casanova last wish, after thirteen years after of his death. A documentary about his life led by his youngest son Nicolás, was begun to produced at the beginning of the year.
