German actor, film director and screenwriter
Heavy-set, balding character actor and occasional writer/director. On stage from 1920 and in films from 1936. Latterly active in West German television (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) and as a voice actor for radio.
He continued his career after the war till the end of the 50s.
The actor Hermann Pfeiffer conquered the German film in the middle of the 30s with impressive support roles.
During wartime followed many other entertainment movies in which he put on a well show.
