Trivia

From 1933 till 1947 Rudolph lives with the half-Jewish actress Inge Meysel, who he can protect against major reprisals during the Nazi era.

In the 50s he took part in numerous movies and TV productions in the next years in which he normally impersonated support roles. But he also remained true to the theater in all those years, among others he was engaged in Hamburg and later in Berling again, Munich, Stuttgart and Basle.

He made his film debut in 1928 with "Das deutsche Lied" but he launched his real film career only from the middle of the 30s.

He began his acting career in 1920 at the theater in Bremen before he went to Nuremberg, Dresden and Berlin where he appeared among others at the Renaissance-Theater.

Helmuth Rudolph was married with the actress Inge Meysel.

His film career was interrupted by World War II - during this time he acted more often again on stage - and he did not continue it till 1948 with the movie "Affre Blum".
