Father of actress Irene Clarin

Legendary and unforgotten voice of "Pumuckl" in the disc and cartoon series Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl .

Studied acting in Munich, 1948-50. From 1952 to 1967, he belonged to the ensemble of the Bayerischen Staatsschauspiel.

In 1974, he fulfilled his dream of acquiring the 450 year old sprawling Moserhof estate in Chiemgau, Upper Bavaria.

Was awarded the title of Bavarian State Actor in 1961. He also received the Federal Order of Merit in 1994 and the Bavarian Order of Merit in 1997.
