Currently serves as Artistic Director of The Haven Project, which brings the theatrical experience to underprivileged children in the Portland metro area.

Born in Camp Sherman, Oregon, a remote village of about 200 in the heart of Ponderosa pine country, the daughter of Henry Ladd, Jr. and Katherine Minahen (Coney) Corbett.

Studied drama in the late 60s at Pittsburghs Carnegie Tech which later merged into Carnegie Mellon University.

Made her acting debut playing "Desdemona" in "Othello" at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. She worked in many regional theatres, including the Long Wharf Theatre, the Berkshire Theatre Festival, the Eugene ONeill Festival, Seattle Repertory Theatre, and the Repertory Theatre of New Orleans, and performed many roles on and off Broadway after moving to New York.

Mother of actress Winslow Corbett (with father Robin Gammell ), who has toured as Elaine Robinson in various stage versions of "The Graduate".

Her acting mentor was the late James Garner.
