American film and television director
Son of director Richard Oswald.
German-born migr director, former child actor. In the U.S. from 1938, initially as assistant director, subsequently as production manager and associate producer. Directed his first full-length film in 1957, specialising from then on in second features and television episodes. A particularly prolific helmsman of "The Outer Limits" .
I have to admit that all I know about film and style I learned from,assisting other directors. They taught me what should and should not be,done in front of the camera. .
