French footballer
Goalkeeper for the French national soccer team (World Cup winners 1998, European Champions 2000). He also played for France in the 2002 and 2006 World Cups.
Has his look-alike puppet in the French show "Les guignols de linfo" .
Made his division debut for French club "Toulouse FC" on 21st September 1991. He joined a different French club, "Olympique Marseille", in 1992. He joined the Monegasque club "AS Monaco FC" in 1995 and then British club "Manchester United" in 2000 for 7.8 million. He went back to his old club "Olympique Marseille" after the 2003-2004 league season and stayed until his contract ran out in 2006 He then retired after failing to find a football club but soon came out to join Nantes. He stayed there for four months until an altercation with a fan caused him to leave and he retired, again, for good.
