Biography

Ernesto Godoy is an actor in Mexican cinema, TV and stage. Born Ernesto Godoy Lagunes on 5 April 1970 to actors Hector Godoy and Teresa Lagunes-Ryan, he started out on TV at the very young age, usually playing characters more mature than his age. Examples are roles of Mauricio Villagran is acclaimed telenovela 'Pobre Nina Rica' and Ramiro in 'El Noveno Mandamiento'. Usually called a scene stealer and one of the best talents of his generation, it is unusual why he hasn't played the lead to this date yet. Except roles in telenovelas, Ernesto participated in numerous theatre shows and also starred on film, for instance in 'Cabeza de Buda' or 'I am an Elephant, you are a Mouse'. He also participated in TV miniseries 'Fidel' playing Cuban resistance figure Huber Matos. He has an older brother and two children: Raphaella and Maximilliano. At his free time, he likes to travel and meet new cultures. His interests lie mostly in art cinema, theatre and TV, as he constantly keeps doing amazing performances in that areas.
