Trivia

German voice of Ferdy (Ferdinand) Mayne and Robert Morley.

Primarily a comic actor and voice, he was frequently employed for Robert Morley and cartoon owls - quite in contrast to his appearance: a small, spindly man, he sounded more pompous than Morley himself did. He also found himself lending his voice to Bela Lugosi in Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein, Peter Cushing in Hound of the Baskervilles and Ferdy Mayne in Dance of the Vampires.

Studied art history and literature prior to becoming an actor.

Also provided the German voice for actors Basil Rathbone, David Niven and Peter Cushing.

The actor Erich Fiedler started an extensive film career at the beginning of the 30s which lasted 40 years. Although he often impersonated support roles his face soon became a well-known actor.

Erich Fiedler studied art history and literature before he dedicated to the acting and attended the acting school of the Deutsches Theater. It followed engagements in Nuremberg, Dresden and finally Berlin in the next years.
