Writer and broadcaster on radio and TV of his own short humorous stories for children, who also contributed regularly to "Punch" and other magazines, aswell as writing a daily feature on the countryside for "Northampton Chronicle and Echo" under the pseudonym "Robin".

He is the only non-British actor to play the Master, the only Oscar-nominated actor to play the Master and the only actor to play a villain in both the Batman and Doctor Who franchises.
