Born in Australia, Eric Friedler has been working with Norddeutscher Rundfunk since 2002. As Commisioning Editor of German National Television NDR/ARD he has supervised acclaimed documentaries, television movies and feature films. As a director he has been awarded national and international awards including German TV awards, Grimme Awards and the Hanns-Joachim-Friedrichs Awards. In 2011 he became Executive Producer and head of the NDR special projects department for docudramas and documentaries.
