Auditioned several times for an androgynous character for the feature film "Person of Interest," but the role eventually went to a male actor. Director Gregory Bayne cast Emily as a waitress instead, but the scene was later cut. Bayne then offered Emily a news reporter role which filmed in December 2008.

Grew up on a 1000 acre ranch in Southeast Idaho.

Was awarded Best Actress and Best Director in the Romance Category ("Finding Sky") in Amercian International Film Festivals November 2010 competition.

The feature length indie film "Finding Sky" that Emily Sandifer wrote, directed, produced, and starred in won a Sir Edmund Hillary Award at the 2011 Mountain Film Festival in Mammoth Lakes, California.

Was awarded one of the "Most Promising New Talent" for her leading role in "Finding Sky" in Americans International Film Festivals 2010 Annual Competition.
