Trivia

As of April 2015, Gabel has been romantically involved with his "Scorpion" co-star, Katharine McPhee for several months.

His first major role was as Gurpreet "Guppy" Sandhu on "Casualty" from 2004-2007, airing on BBC One. From this role, Gable was nominated for "Best Newcomer" at the 2005 National Television Awards. He also portrayed at least two other characters on "Casualty," before being cast as Guppy, Jean-Claude Tournier in a 2001 episode, and Jude in a 2004 episode.

Although he was born in the inner London borough of the City of Westminster, Gabel spent many of his early years in Canada, before returning to the United Kingdom to live in both Bristol and Manchester in England, UK, where he attended secondary school (the UK equivalent of American middle school and high school).

He has Algerian, French, Spanish, Dutch, Anglo-Indian, Irish, and Portuguese ancestry.

While living in Manchester, UK, Gabel attended St. Damians RC Science College (the "RC" stands for Roman Catholic), a co-ed secondary school in Ashton-under-Lyne in the county of Greater Manchester, not far from his familys home in Manchester.
