Elena Satine hails from the Black Sea coast of the "Russian Riviera" in Sochi. She began her professional career at the tender age of 6 when she appeared on the popular Russian children's variety show "Morning Star". On a spontaneous trip to New York City, the young actress attended an open call for at the Professional Performing Arts School, and got accepted on the spot. After graduating with honors, Elena continued her dramatic studies at the renowned Moscow Art Theater School.

Learned French and Hungarian for her role as Countess Elena Andrenyi in "Agatha Christies Poirot" {Murder on the Orient Express (#12.3)} .
Was personally invited by director Julie Taymor and U2 front-man Bono to take part in a workshop for the Broadway rock musical "Spiderman, Turn Off The Dark" in which she played Mary-Jane Watson. Evan Rachel Wood performed in the role in an earlier workshop.
On December 31, 2013, she married her boyfriend of a year Tyson Ritter following an eight-month-long engagement.
Has portrayed four different comic book characters in her career: Mera on "Smallville" , Lorelei on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." , Dreamer on "The Gifted" and Mary Jane Watson on "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark".
