Elena Lev, born in Moscow, Russia in 1982, began her training to become a rhythmic gymnast at an early age, assisted and coached by her mother, Elena Lev Sr., and forming a hula hoop act while still at an early age. Elena's big breakthrough was when she was invited to join the troupe of the highly acclaimed Cirque du Soleil in their mesmerizing show _Alegría . Her father, Andrei Lev, is a coach for a trapeze act in another Cirque du Soleil show called "Mystère," based in Las Vegas. Elena resides in Las Vegas when she isn't travelling around the world with Cirque du Soleil. She then left Alegría after 7 years and performed briefly in Quidam, another Cirque du Soleil show. She now does private shows and galas.
Appeared in the 1998 film "Alegria."
Began performing in Cirque du Soleil in the "Manipulation" act with hula hoops when she was twelve years old.
Can spin endless numbers of hula hoops on every concievable part of her body.
Her mother, Elena Lev Sr., is her coach.
During the 74th Annual Academy Awards, Elena opened up the appearance by Cirque du Soleil with her brief hula hoops act.
Elena performed in the Cirque du Soleil show "Alegra" for eleven years.
Her father and boyfriend are both involved in Mystre, a resident Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas. Elenas father is the creator of a trapeze act in the show, and her borfriend is a flyer in that act.
Has left the show "Quidam" to return home to Las Vegas and perform in various galas there. Later on, she returned to performing in circus with Cirque du Soleils new venue production, "Wintuk", for the couple of years it performed in New York. Now, she is no longer with Cirque du Soleil.
