In 1980, was nominated for two Tony Awards for "A Day in Hollywood/A Night in th Ukraine:" as Best Book and, his lyrics with music by Frank Lazarus , as Best Score.

Father of Tilly Vosburgh.

Wrote entertainment personality obituaries for the British newspaper "The Independent".

Wrote comedy material for such stars as Bob Hope , Dean Martin , Ronnie Corbett and Carol Channing.

Wrote sketches for West End revues as well as radio shows.

Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he moved to London in 1948 where he studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.

When "Gunsmoke" was shown in Britain, the title was changed to "Gun Law", and it was Vosburgh who doubled for James Arness in the amended opening title sequence.

Son of "National Geographic" editor Frederick G. Vosburgh.

He voiced Colonel Raeburn and the introductory narration for the 1962 puppet series Space Patrol.
