Biography

A Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, Dewey Allen is an American film producer, director, actor, and screenwriter specializing in the action and drama genres. When he is not producing films, Allen spends time perfecting his craft for songwriting and is also an aspiring author. Every avenue of expressed talent has provided Allen with growth, exposure and humility. Allen, in addition to his many talents, is not only a proud father of published author Raheem Allen, but a professional, and a pillar in the community. He enjoys being meticulous and finding depth and meaning in both his personal and professional life. Because of this, Allen expresses his passion to produce movies with admirable plots that relate to his audience that come primarily "from the soul" and various life experiences. Due to the growing popularity of his most recent work, Allen is widely known for his latest movie "My Side Piece". In all of the movies produced by Allen, each of them share a common theme: titles with at least one meaning. This unique and intricate characteristic to even the title of his films provokes his audience to engage their curiosities for any alternate or deeper meaning as it relates to them. To compound the effect, Allen endorses his enigmatic style of production by essentially creating a film genre of his own. While his style is his signature, Allen contrastly enjoys the production styles of Quinton Tarantino, Tyler Perry, Michael Bay, and Steve Harvey. A few notable collaborations to mention in Allen's works: Hawthorne "Big Red" James ; Mystikal, and regional blues artist Pokey Bear Allen currently resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
