Kristin Morgan , Dennis daughter, appeared with him in My Wild Irish Rose . She was 8 years old at the time.

In 1943, was originally cast to play Rick Blaine in Casablanca , but made Thank Your Lucky Stars instead.

His children are named Stanley Morner, Kristin Morgan and James Morner.

Sang "Home is the Sailor" at friend Errol Flynn s funeral (October 1959).

Was a staunch conservative Republican.

At one point he was set to costar with Ann Sheridan in Serenade but the parts eventually went to Mario Lanza and Joan Fontaine.

One of Mr. Morgans most popular films, "Christmas in Connecticut", was released in the British Isles under the rather odd title, "Indiscretion".

During the 1940s, for six consecutive years, Mr. Morgan received more fan mail than any other star (male or female) at Warner Brothers.

During the 1940s, Mr. Morgan was the highest paid actor at Warner Brothers.

In May, 1945, Mr. Morgan received an "honorary Doctor of Fine Arts" from Carroll University (in Wisconsin), - the degree was the first of its kind, conferred by the university in its (then) 100 year history.

In her autobiography, Viveca Lindfors, the Swedish actress who worked with Dennis Morgan, described him as a "divine friend". She added that " he had a glorious voice and was a happy man!" (exclamation point was hers.).

Dennis Morgan was fluent in the Swedish language.

Dennis Morgan was a pall bearer at Jack Carsons funeral, - one of his closest friends.
