Denis Carey from Newport, Co. Tipperary, Ireland, is a musician, composer, and arranger with a diverse musical background. He has performed and recorded with many well known artists nationally and internationally. In recent years Denis' compositions have been widely acclaimed in Nova Scotia, Canada where he performs on a regular basis. The Scottish National Orchestra performed a piece by Denis entitled 'Cape Breton Sunrise' . Denis also appears on Denis Ryan's albums - 'Here and There' and 'Mist Covered Mountains'.
Is a cousin of well known Irish singer Denis Ryan from Ryans Fancy, a ballad group from the seventies that emigrated to Nova Scotia. Is the principal of one of Irelands biggest private music schools, The Peter Dee Academy of Music He has several of his tunes played by orchestras worldwide, including Symphony Nova Scotia,

(October 2005) Played at Cape Breton, Canadas Celtic Colours Festival with his trad group the Brock-Maguire Band.
(January 2007) Playing with the Brendan Boyer band on his tour of Ireland. Preparing for tours in Germany, USA, Canada and Holland as a solo artist and part of the trad group the Brock Maguire band.
(March 2006) Is doing a short tour in New York,for St. Patricks Day
