Biography

Debra Lamb was born on November 24, 1963 in Portland, Oregon, and moved to Los Angeles, California with her family when she was fifteen years old. Known for portraying a variety of authority figures, Debra has worked with acclaimed directors 'Kathryn Bigelow' 's The Wild Side Theater improv comedy troupe in Hollywood. An accomplished author, Debra's stories have been published in Dark Beauty magazine since its second issue in 2010 to 2015 during her stint as a writer/contributor for the magazine, and in the anthology "Creepies 2: Things That go Bump in the Closet", available on Amazon. Debra is also a screenwriter with several scripts in development.

Graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1982.

Debra was a student at the Van Mar Academy of Motion Picture and Television Acting with classmates Traci Lords and Tommy Tiny Lister.

Debra was in a history class with Rob Lowe during her senior year at Santa Monica High School.

Danced with the Portland Parks and Rec. Ballet Company from the age of 7 to 14, and performed in over a dozen theatrical productions with the company.

Started writing poetry and plays when she was 9 years old.

Debra was a regular performer at the famous Peanuts Night Club, located in West Hollywood, during the late 80s and early 90s.

Performed stand up comedy at The Comedy Store on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles and was a member of Sam Longoria s The Wild Side Theater improv comedy troupe in Hollywood during the early 1990s.

During her audition for director Mark Pirro , Debra suddenly jumped up on the desk and started to dance. Her zany antics won her the role of Shanna Shallow in Deathrow Gameshow .

3D CGI animator Mark Kochinski used photos of Debra to create the nose-art for some of the fighter ships in "Babylon 5" . One of the fighter ships was named "Earth Angel", which features a nude Debra with large angel wings.

Got her first real break by being cast as a dancer in John Hughes Planes, Trains & Automobiles . A natural comedienne, Debra was chosen from several dancers to improvise a scene with John Candy and Steve Martin. The scene was ultimately cut from the film, but that comedic role got Debra her SAG card.

Went to 11 schools in 12 years.

Was named after Debbie Reynolds.
