David Lee Denny Jr. was born to David Lee Denny Sr.and the late Sharon Louise Faison Denny on October 10, 1980. He graduated from William M. Meredith Elementary School for Performing Arts, and then attended Central High School of Philadelphia for the academic year of 2001. David also received honors of Magna Cum Laude at his graduation ceremony. He was accepted into a few medical schools and chose to attend Morehouse School of Medicine with an interest in General Surgery.
David was United Negro College Fund Scholarship recipient and was interviewed for his scholastic accomplishments by WDAS 1480 AM Radio Station in Philadelphia, PA.
During his teenage years, David weighed over a whopping 400 pounds with an alarming blood pressure of 190/100. He lost 210 pounds within two years and has successfully maintained his weight loss for seven years. David jogs 4 miles three times a week.
Maintained all As during his freshman year at Tuskegee University and was awarded "Eminent Scholar". To receive this award,a student must have a 4.0 cumulative grade point average.
He is a member of Beta Kappa Chi National Honor Society for Science and the Golden Key Honor Society.
Received University Scholar Award at Tuskegee University for being the top ranked student in the entire College of Agricultural, Environmental and Natural Sciences (CAENS). David also received full tuition for his junior year.
Mother, Sharon Louise Faison Denny, died on September 26, 2008.
