David L Cook is a multi-award winning recording artists who began his career at the age of 5 with his family, The Cook Family Singers who were noted performers of the Grand Ole Opry. David began a solo career in "1980" after his family's retirement. He is considered to be one of the most prolific song writers of the 80's and 90's with over 2500 songs in his publishing catalog. Many of his songs were recorded by top 80's groups like Pet Shop Boys, A-Ha, Spandau Ballet, Expose' and many more. Cook first appeared in television on The Electric Company in "1971" when he was 4. He has won 7 Emmy awards for his work in television. He has written several television theme songs as well as being an editor on several major award winning productions. In "2010" Cook became the president of the Artists Music Guild and is involved with the AMG Heritage Awards. Cook has been inducted into 3 musical Halls of Fame including the International Country Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
