Biography

David Boston, the third Son of William Gerald Boston and Maria Christina Fusco Boston. David's Father was an auto mechanic, and stock car racer. His Mother was a homemaker and factory worker. When he was two years old his Mother and Father separated, leaving David, his two Brothers and Sister to be raised by his Mother and her Italian family. David attended Bridgeport Public schools. At the age of sixteen he left school to join his Mother in the factory. His Brothers had also left school earlier to work and support the Family. At the age of seventeen David joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served honorably for four years. He saw duty overseas in Okinawa, as a Military Policeman. During a far east cruise he had duty as an SP, in Hong Kong, Formosa, Borneo, and the Philippines. Upon returning to the U.S. he was attached to the second Marine division were he saw action with the Navy Expedition force during the Cuban Bay of Pigs period. While serving in the Marines David Married his lovely Wife: Joyce Lucky Gillespy Boston, they have two Sons David and Thomas. David began his acting career at the age of forty nine, when in 1989, as a career police officer, he was hired as a technical advisor for the film "A walk with Death." he was approached by the film's director and asked to audition for the role of "Captain Noah Barnes," he did so and was cast for the part as a principal actor, given a contract, he then joined SAG, AFTRA, and AEA, thus beginning his professional film, theater and television career.

Worked on a film with Ed Asner, where they spent four hours together during a break in filming. He reminded Ed that they had met before, in San Francisco, at the A.F.S.C.M.E convention where Ed was stumping for Walter Mondale, when Mondale was running for president.

He spent twenty seven years in Law Enforcement, with the city of Bridgeport CT., rising through the ranks, from patrol to sergeant, lieutenant, captain and retiring as a deputy chief of police, he also served as a special deputy U.S. marshal working under the direction of the FBI.

First stage experience was in the first grade at Waltersville school where appeared as a campfire Indian.

Is a friend of fellow actor John Ratzenberger. While working as a tool setter at the Remington arms factory in Bridgeport, he was the chief union steward for Johns Mother Bertha. Good Friend of fellow Bridgeport Actor Frank Piazza as well.

Once hired Hulk Hogan and Andre the giant to perform a wrestling match for the Bridgeport police union.

While with the Marines in Okinawa, he served with the actor Christopher Stone as a military policeman. He also had the pro golfer Lee Trevino as his firearms instructor, while there.

While working as an administrative lieutenant of police he had the opportunity to help the young director George Nolfi, who was working on his masters in political science. He gave him an opportunity to ride with patrol and detective personnel to do field work. Nolfi went on to direct such films as: Oceans Eleven and the Adjustment Bureau.

His union career included chief union steward and trustee of the machine and office worker union, seven years as the President of the Bridgeport police union local 1159 A.F.S.M.E, AFL-CIO and vice president of the Connecticut council of police unions.

Sang Christmas carols door to door with his brothers when they were kids.

Was a member of the Bridgeport police drum corps where he played a bugle.

Is the childhood friend of the Actor Richard Belzer. As children they lived in the same building at the Marina Village apartments in Bridgeport Ct.

He was once assigned as personal escort to Bob Hope. He worked with Meg Ryans step Dad, Nat Plotkin on a political campaign, as treasurer.

His acting coach is James Noble, charter member of the Actors Studio. David also received training in film and theater, voice over and commercials, He is a member of the New Canaan power house theater, where he performed on stage with the actor Paul Dano.

Friend of Harvey Keitel, they both served in the United states Marine corps, David and Harvey, both belong to the FBI Marine Corps Association. David has also worked in film with Harvey.

His Ancestor, William Boston, private, of wells Maine, enlisted in the continental army on May 5, 1775 and saw action at Bunker Hill with the Company of Captain Joshua Bragdon and Regiment of Colonel Scammons.

He received his Associate in science degree from Housatonic community college, and his Bachelor in Science degree from Sacred Heart University, whose alumni also include, John Ratzenberger and Kevin Nealon. He also attended the University of Bridgeport, as did the actor Bill Smitrovich.

While serving with the Marines in Okinawa, as a Military Policeman, his additional duties included assignment to the Provost Marshals office working with Navy C.I.D. as a sketch artist, creating crime scene schematics and legends.

David is an award winning published Poet. His poems have appeared in numerous publications, such as: the Yale Medical Groups "Caduceus", Connecticut River Review, The Poetry Guild, and Long River Run, and more. He is a member of the Connecticut Poetry Society, and Saugatuck Poets. While a member of the Saugatuck Poets, he worked with Poet and Editor Nora Christianson, the daughter of "Seabiscuit" Jockey Red Pollock, on his poem "Sunday" which she had selected to published in the Connecticut River Review.

A Friend of Lorraine Warren, the Demonologist and Paranormal expert, whose life work in on display in such films as: "The Conjuring" and "Annabelle." They have often discussed the events at 666 Lindley Street, when David , as a young Police Officer responded to that address, along with other police officers, where reports of Poltergeist Activities were occurring. 666 Lindley street was real, and became the Genesis for the film "The Amityville Horror.".
