Trivia

Frequent collaborator with directors Roland Emmerich , John Singleton , Roger Michell and Michael Apted.

At the time he was hired by Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich to write the score for Stargate , he had only scored one independent film and was working as a clerk at a local record store in England.

Was highly recommended to producers to do the score for Tomorrow Never Dies by John Barry , composer of 11 James Bond films. Arnold went on to score five James Bond films in total, second only to Barry.

The producers for The Young Americans allotted him only enough money to produce the score electronically. He spent 2000 of his own money to secure a small orchestra for six hours, and was able to orchestrate the entire score for the film in that time.
