After his directorial debut for Saw II , he was asked by Mudvayne to direct their next single, "Forget to Remember", which happens to be the main song on the Saw II soundtrack.

Went to Full Sail Real World Education in Orlando, Florida. Graduated the Film Degree program in 2001. His thesis film: "Winter Follies", starred film-newcomer David Blue. He was inducted into Full Sail Universitys Hall of Fame in 2011.

In 2005 signed a two picture deal with Dimenson Films (Division of The Weinstein Company) along with his Twisted Pictures producers, Gregg Hoffman , Oren Koules and Mark Burg.

Has 3 pets: a cat named Zoe and two puppies named Chance and Ninja.

His favorite television show is Lost .

Already signed a contract to direct Saw II , 2 weeks before the first Saw hit theaters.

Member of the unofficial "Splat Pack," a term coined by film historian Alan Jones in Total Film magazine for the modern wave of directors making brutally violent horror films. The other "Splat Pack" members are Alexandre Aja , Neil Marshall , Adam Green , Greg McLean , Eli Roth , James Wan , Leigh Whannell & Rob Zombie.

Worked on the set of The X-Files guarding the honey wagon. He was fired due to constantly working on "scripts" on the job. The script at the time was called "The Desperate" which was eventually turned into Saw II.

Is the first horror director to ever have his first three major Hollywood films open up at #1. Saw II , Saw III and Saw IV .

He admitted to Fangoria that he loves Musicals ranging from "Jesus Christ Superstar" to "Tommy".

(October 2005) Directed the latest music video for Mudvayne entitled "Forget to Remember". The song is the lead single from the soundtrack to his debut feature film, Saw II .
