Daphne A. Videau was born on April 13, 1973 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is the daughter of Jeanette Videau and Lloyd C. Videau, Sr., both from Louisiana. After graduating from high school, Daphne enrolled at Southern University, Baton Rouge and earned a bachelor's degree in Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry.
